Privacy
Small on purpose.
Whilely only keeps what it needs to put two waiting people in a call — and nothing from the call itself.
Never stored
- Your video and audio. Calls go directly between the two of you (WebRTC, encrypted). They are never recorded, relayed to us, or saved.
- Screenshots or transcripts of calls.
- Your AI prompts or conversations. Whilely doesn't read other apps — it only knows that you're waiting because you told it (a tool you picked, a hotkey, or an optional hook).
- Your location.
Stored
- Your account: email and a password (hashed), or your Google sign-in. You sign in inside the Mac app.
- Your profile: @username, display name, generated pebble avatar, one-line bio.
- Presence: whether you're waiting, and what you're waiting on.
- Matches: who was in a call with whom, and when (not what was said).
- Reports and blocks you make, so we can act on them and never match you again.
- Game scores, if you play while you wait.
Who sees what
- The person you're matched with sees your @username, display name, pebble and bio. Never your email.
- Everyone waiting sees how many people are waiting right now.
- “Today's best” in the games shows an @username and a score.
This website
- It has no accounts and no sign-in, and sets no cookies. It exists to show you Whilely and let you download it.
Where it lives
- Accounts and data are stored with Supabase (Postgres). Video connections may pass through an encrypted relay (TURN) on strict networks; relays can't see or keep the content.
